His story is our story. Live it.
Being part of our Catholic community can equip young people with the skills and values to stand up against an often intimidating, self-seeking world. Through prayer, liturgies, fellowship, service, and adult affirmation, our parish family is strengthened by the participation of our younger members. Coming to our youth in August. For more information, please contact Seth Willden at [email protected].

Theology of the Body for Teens! We are so excited to be able to offer this amazing program for our 9th – 12th grade parishioners this year. The first class will be held on October 6th in St. Catherine’s Room from 6-7:30 PM through November 17th. The cost of the class is $25.00. It will be instructed by our very own parishioner and trained expert on the topic, Scott Entrekin. Please call Liz Smith at 303-776-0737, ext. 106 to register your teen as soon as possible.
If you haven't had a chance to read Pope Francis's interview in America Magazine, I encourage that you do so. His message is refreshing. He is not imposing new church policy procedures, or changing a new theology for the Church. He is however framing our religion in a renewed way. His words are filled with love and hope for a more joyful, loving Catholic Church. It is rather lengthy, but it's definitely worth your time. Please visit www.americanmagazine.org/pope-interview. Schedule for Youth Group Youth group for both middle and high school students will meet every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Additional information about SJB youth group may be found under GROUPS at www.johnthebaptist.org or http://tinyurl.com/SJBYouthMinistry. Mark your calendars for Mountain Madness! Every year 500+ Junior High students (grades 6-8) gather at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park to encounter God through a “mountain-top” experience. Each year we bring in a speaker/entertainer to host the weekend – next year we will be joined by Chris Padgett. The high energy speakers, dynamic worship, fellowship, and adoration help ignite a passion for Jesus in your young people that encourages them to live their faith in every day life. Mountain Madness will be February 14-16, 2014. Registration will be available soon.
In order to find oneself, you must first lose yourself in the service of others.

"We need saints without cassocks, without veils - we need saints with jeans and tennis shoes. We need saints that go to the movies that listen to music, that hang out with their friends. We need saints that place God in first place ahead of succeeding in any career. We need saints that look for time to pray every day and who know how to be in love with purity, chastity and all good things. We need saints - saints for the 21st century with a spirituality appropriate to our new time. We need saints that have a commitment to helping the poor and to make the needed social change. We need saints to live in the world, to sanctify the world and to not be afraid of living in the world by their presence in it. We need saints that drink Coca-Cola, that eat hot dogs, that surf the internet and that listen to their iPods. We need saints that love the Eucharist, that are not afraid or embarrassed to eat a pizza or drink a beer with their friends. We need saints who love the movies, dance, sports, theater. We need saints that are open sociable normal happy companions. we need saints who are in this world and who know how to enjoy the best in this world without being callous or mundane. We need saints." - Pope Francis, World Youth Day 2013
"There is no force more powerful than the one released from the hearts of young people when they (experience) friendship with Him." #Pope
